This Privacy Notice is issued to all customers of Hijaz Kasturi Travel & Tour Sdn Bhd. (“Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”), pursuant to the statutory requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”).

The personal data previously collected from you is being, and will continue to be, processed for purposes including, but not limited to, communicating with you, providing products and/or services to you, administering and giving effect to your commercial transactions with us, responding to your inquiries or complaints, providing you with information and/or updates on products, services and/or promotions offered by us and selected third parties, identifying you (including publishing your name and photograph) when you become a winner in a contest or competition and/or participate in any events/activities organized by us, and other purposes required to operate and maintain our business as set out in our Privacy Policy (collectively referred to as “Purposes”).

We will not disclose any of your personal data to any third party without your consent except to the Company’s group of companies (including the Company’s parent/holding company, subsidiaries, related and/or associated companies), our professional advisers, vendors, suppliers, agents, contractors, service providers, business partners, insurance companies, banks and financial institutions, within or outside Malaysia, where necessary, for the Purposes mentioned above, to any party who undertakes to keep your personal data confidential, to any person as set out in our Privacy Policy, or to whom we are compelled or required under the law to disclose to.

If you disagree with any of the terms in this Privacy Policy, please stop proceeding with your access and use of our Platforms as defined hereinafter immediately. When you continue to access and use our Platforms, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy.

The information we collect includes any information which relates directly or indirectly to you and/or your transactions with us (“Personal Data“), including, but not limited to, your name, contact numbers, postal addresses and email addresses, contact preferences, title, occupation, gender, photos, QR codes, and if you make a reservation with us, your credit card/debit card and other payment information. We may also request you to provide us with information on your travel preferences, loyalty, frequent flyer, and/or car rental programs which you participate in, and feedback, testimonials, photographs, and videos of the trip which you booked with us (together with the Personal Data collectively referred to as the “Personal Information“). You are not required to provide the Personal Information that we have requested, and if you choose not to provide the requested Personal Information, we may be prevented from providing certain products or services to you.

1.2 Methods of Collection
We may collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store any information you enter on our website or give us through various means, including but not limited to telephone calls, emails, inquiries or bookings at our sales office, SMS, fax, post, your voluntary submission to us through any social media, through your relationship with us (such as information provided by you in application forms when purchasing our products or using our services), recordings of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) at our sales office, such other sources in respect of which you have given your consent to disclose your Personal Information, and any platforms used by the Companies from time to time (collectively the “Platforms“). Kindly refer to Section 5 and Section 8 below on the specific terms upon your access to our website using your browser on your computer or mobile device.

1.3 Personal Information Relating To Another Person
When you make a reservation with us on behalf of a travel companion or another person, we will request the Personal Information of that individual. You should obtain the consent of such other individuals before providing their Personal Information to us. Any request to view or change their Personal Information provided in relation to the reservation which you have made can only be made through you or your account with us.

1.4 Surveys and Contests
We may request Personal Information relating to you through surveys or contests which we conduct from time to time. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you have a choice as to whether or not to provide the Personal Information we have requested through the survey or contest. Personal Information collected through surveys will be used to monitor or improve the use and satisfaction of our services. Personal Information collected through contests will be used to notify winners and award prizes.

1.5 Call Monitoring
Your telephone calls with us may be recorded or monitored for quality control and staff training purposes. The call recordings will be retained by us for as long as reasonably necessary and will then be deleted. Any Personal Information obtained from you during the call will be treated in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

We use your debit card and/or credit card and other payment information for the purpose of completing the booking(s) which you make with us.

3.1 We will not disclose, expose, release, sell, or share your Personal Information with third parties and any other person, save for the following third parties, some of whom may be located overseas, and as a result, it shall be required for us to transfer your Personal Information overseas:

  • Third party suppliers such as hotel, airline, car rental, and activity providers, who provide value-added services that you have requested or fulfill your travel reservations with us. Please note that these third party suppliers may contact you as necessary to obtain additional information about you to facilitate the travel reservation which you have made through us;
  • Third party vendors who provide services or functions on our behalf, including credit card processing, business analytics, customer service, marketing, distribution of surveys or contest programs, and fraud prevention. We may also authorize third party vendors to collect Personal Information on our behalf, to operate features of our Platforms, or to facilitate the delivery of online advertisements tailored to your interests;
  • Third party vendors have access to and may collect Personal Information only as needed to perform their functions and are not permitted to share or use the Personal Information for any other purpose;
  • Companies and/or organizations that act as our agents, affiliates, service providers, business partners, professional advisers, other banks, and/or financial institutions, within or outside Malaysia, where necessary. If you choose to receive information about these products or services, we may share information about you, including your Personal Information, with those third party partners so that they can contact you directly by email or post about their products and services;
  • Any rating agency, insurer, or insurance broker, or direct or indirect provider of travel protection;
